Port St. Lucie Business Women launch re-designed website

Photos of the Port St. Lucie Business Women in action showcase their community contributions, from painting at the Pace Center for Girls to participating in Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. Here, too, is a web page of links to articles that have been published. "We have the opportunity to let the local community know just how much we support them, from supplying backpacks filled with school supplies to underprivileged children, to providing teddy bears to welcome orphaned Haitian children arriving at the St. Lucie County Airport for adoption," says Marsha Thompson, co-president.

Dozens of women's futures have been assured through scholarship awards to those attending Indian River State College. The Port St. Lucie Business Women annually give out thousands of dollars in grants and scholarships from money raised in the organization's spring Luncheon and Fashion Show. "Now people can directly go to the website to review the parameters and download an application," says Thompson.

Every April the group hosts a Luncheon and Fashion Show that is the premier event of the season. Treasure Coast residents can view photos from this past fundraiser that are posted on the site, as well as read information about next year's event. "The more the local community knows about our group and what we offer, the better. We want to expand our sphere of influence," says Giaccone.

ITdatacom Web Solutions, a 10 year old Port St. Lucie, Florida -based company, designed and developed the website.
